What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is the introduction of positive suggestions while a person is in Trance State. Trace State is a natural brain wave pattern (Theta) that we go in and out of on a regular basis. For example, when you drive to work or school and don’t remember the drive you were in a Trance State. Hypnosis is a naturally induced state of relaxed concentration. A state of mind and body in which we communicate suggestions to our subconscious mind. This part of our mind influences what we think, how we feel and the choices we make.

Who can be Hypnotized?

Although everyone is capable of being hypnotized, strong willed individuals respond best to hypnosis.

Do I ever lose control of my mind or will?

Absolutely not! You are always in control. When in trance, the only time you can be made to do anything you don’t want to do is in a Hollywood movie or TV show. During hypnosis, you are aware and in control.

Can I get stuck in Hypnosis?

No! You can come out of Trance State anytime you wish. Most people enjoy the profound relaxation so much, they choose to remain in Hypnosis as long as possible. The worst case scenario is that you could drift into a deep sleep, from which you would awaken and feel rested.

Are there any side effects?

The only side effect is that you sleep more soundly and awaken in the mornings with more energy.

Do I go to sleep?

You do not sleep during Hypnosis; you enter the REM (rapid eye movement) level of consciousness, just before you slip into sleep.

Will I remember it?

You will hear as much or as little as you wish to and will remember the same.

Does it work with one session?

In some applications, but not many. The mind needs to hear the same or similar suggestions, repeated, until they are absorbed and actually replace the old habits or behaviors. You also get better results working one-on-one and not in a group session. Less effective is the use of pre-recorded tapes.

Are all therapists equal? Can they work well with anyone?

Hypnotherapists are not equal and some are better suited to work with certain problems. Education, experience and temperament are all extremely important factors when choosing the right Hypnotherapist. Just like Doctors specialize, so do Hypnotherapists.

How are you different than other Hypnotherapists?

I am the only person who uses hypnosis and Cold laser Therapy together. With the combination and the addition of the WIN supplements my clients are achieving their goals faster than ever before. I myself have used Hypnosis to successfully lose 57 pounds and keep it off for over 22 years.

Will you demonstrate on me?

It would be unethical for me to demonstrate on anyone. A Hypnotist who entertains with Hypnosis, can do so, but they are not doing therapy of any kind. I only work one-on-one with my clients. Therapy should be private and personal for each individual. I never work in groups or with an audience.

How long before I see results?

You begin to see subtle changes right away. The Cold Laser helps you by stimulating the chemistry we need to support the physical changes the hypnosis leaves in your subconscious mind. Many people see 75% to 100% of the changes occur in less than a week or two.

When is hypnosis most effective?

Everyone knows Hypnosis works on Smoking Cessation and Insomnia, because it was popular over 25 years ago. We are now using it for weight loss and to overcome stress and phobias. There are applications for everything from surgery without anesthesia, to grieving losses and overcoming despair without prescription drugs. Hypnosis is most effective when the individual undergoing the hypnosis truly wants to change their habits/behaviors.

Am I a candidate for hypnotherapy?

You must be willing to change and have an open mind and reasonable intelligence. We all have a subconscious mind that we use every day. This morning when you brushed your teeth you automatically followed a pattern, just like you do every time you brush your teeth. That is your subconscious mind at work. Your subconscious mind can be trained to make the changes you want in your life. Take the Hypnosis Evaluation Test to see if you are a potential hypnosis candidate.
